Description
A set of fully customizable climbing hold markers designed to create alternative routes on an existing climbing wall or add special rules to specific holds.
The markers fit into the hex socket of standard climbing hold bolts and can be easily inserted or removed without tools.
This is NOT a Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Do not use it for belaying, rappelling, anchoring, or any safety-critical application. These markers are intended solely for identifying climbing holds and routes.
They must never be used to secure or mount climbing holds.Avoid using filaments containing abrasive additives (such as carbon fiber, glass fiber, glow-in-the-dark, or metallic particles), especially if ropes, slings, or cords may come into contact with the markers.
This model is fully parametric, allowing you to easily adjust:
-
Fit and tolerances
-
Dimensions of the markers head (diameter, thickness)
-
Dimensions of the markers peg (length, wall thickness)
-
Extraction hole diameter
Designed specifically for 3D printing, with no excessive overhangs (maximum 45° on all profiles and chamfers).
Extraction Hole
The markers include a small extraction hole that can be used with:
-
A screw
-
A hook
-
A small puller
To remove a marker that has become stuck inside a bolt head.
Even if the marker head breaks, the peg remains hollow to allow extraction.
Fit and Tolerances
The default dimensions are tuned for a relatively tight fit inside standard M10 climbing hold bolts.
Filament type, brand, color and printer calibration may affect the final fit.
If markers are too loose or too tight, adjust the peg_side parameter accordingly.

Overhangs & Printability
This model is made for FDM 3D printing, avoiding any excessive overhangs.
-
Made to be printed with the head down.
-
Maximum 45° on all profiles and chamfers.
Printing recommendations
-
Use the peg_side parameter to fine-tune the fit.
-
Increasing wall count is preferred over increasing infill for better strength.
-
If you experience adhesion issues, make sure your build plate is thoroughly cleaned.
