Description

Location of Sigenergy battery didn't allow for the 10m cable that came with the EV DC charger to reach around and into the garage.  Installer wouldn't disconnect cable to run it directly through a small 22mm hole, so I was forced to drill a much larger 122mm hole to fit the CCS2 charger plug and cable through.  To fill in the hole and support the cable in the middle of the cut to reduce it rubbing against sharp edge of the wall - I designed the attached 'port'.

Port is four pieces, put it around the 22mm cable on each side of the wall and push it into the 122mm hole, the parts were designed to 'screw' into each other inside the wall. It's a bit challenging and much easier with two people - one on each side of the wall to hold it as you screw together. This locks all four parts together.

This was the hole saw that I used - just applied a lot of cutting oil and water and took it slow.
