This is a Raspberry Pi 4 case and latching wall mount. It is designed to securely hold the Pi 4, but is also easy to release it by just throwing the latch open. The latch has a (pen) spring detent which helps give some resistance, but if you don't have the pen spring it may be possible to omit that part and it will probably still work.

The mount also has spaces to hold a couple microSD cards, in case you are like me and often don't shut down the Pi correctly. It's handy to keep some spare cards ready to go, in case the working SDcard gets corrupted (it has only happened twice in several years and an easy fix).

The case is a remix of Malolo's screw-less Raspberry Pi 4 Case, with a modified base to include a dovetail rail. However, this can work with any of the covers (or tops) for Malolo's case design.

Also included is a remixed a cover for a 40mm fan, and additional vent holes (this requires Fan40_Sled.stl from Malolo's original design, which is included here for convenience https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3723561/files).

11/20/2023 - I updated the bottom of the case with the dovetails, to tighten things up a bit, the new file is named:

Pi4_Latching_case-6A-HEX-CASE-BASE.stl

I have tested this and it still slides well and the latch engages it a bit tighter also. The STEP file has also been updated with the change.

This will require the following hardware:

(1) M3x12mm cap head screw

(1) M3 washer

(1) M3 locknut

(1) spring from a ball point pen

Regarding the springs, I specifically used some I bought on Ebay (search for "spring spare ball pen part 424"). They would be the type used for a retractable ball point pen.

Please pardon the poor quality of my print, I need to clean out the extruder and do some maintenance on it.

Due to the close fit of this case, it's a really good idea to calibrate esteps (if it's never been done on the printer) and flow for the filament being used.
