Description

· To assemble this door you will need:
- 15 M4 screws (I use hex socket screws 16mm long).
- 15 M4 nuts to match with the screws.
- Polycarbonate or glass to screw on to the inside frame (I use a 2mm thick polycarbonate, 179x179mm).
- 2 nails. I designed the hinge to accommodate 3mm in diameter and around 50mm long nails.
· The gap between frames has been adjusted to be pretty snug so fruit flies won't be able to escape through it.
· Glue or sealant is not needed as long as the tub walls are flat. If they have nooks and crannies you will need to seal the gaps to avoid small inhabitants from escaping.

·Alternatively you can print the outer frame setting up a print pause at around half the height and cover it with mosquito net (I use glass fibre mosquito net), holding it tight to the print and printer bed, and resuming the print so the mosquito net gets fused to the frame making it one solid piece.

PRINTING:
· Inner frame needs supports under the hinges and the locking mechanism.
· Outer frame only needs supports under the hinges.
· Printed it with 5 walls, top and bottom layers to ensure its rigidity and make sure it holds over time, 3 perimeters should work just fine though.

Been testing it for almost 2 years now and PLA seems to be fine, I keep New Caledonian geckos so it doesn't get hot at all.
