Description
My specific Kobalt Socket set had 18x SAE and 18x Metric sockets, so I designed a couple holders just for those sockets.
Sizing details (or see drawings):
Pegs are sized for ¼ inch holes at 1 inch spacing.
½ inch sockets: 3x with 34mm OD, 3x with 27mm OD
3/8 in sockets: 3x with 23mm OD, 3x with 19mm OD
¼ inch sockets: 6x with 14mm OD
Each rack is just over 7in long.
You will need supports, since there is a 75deg overhang for the sockets, and of course the upper pegs would print horribly otherwise. As long as your supports work well and come off cleanly, the sockets fit perfectly.
I'm not yet good with Openscad, so I can't make this parametric for everyone. (I use Solidworks) But I made my design easily adjustable for other sizes, and I'd be glad to quickly make a custom one if you need different socket spacing or more places. Just leave me a comment or message.
I printed mine in Sunlu PETG with 0.3mm height and 0.6mm line width.
