The Comica VS09 is a nice budget quality microphone for vlogging or everyday videography. However, the USB-C variant comes with a rather bulky rubber clip making it almost unuseable on phones with cases. OK, the rubber clip can be removed - leaving you with four rather big and ugly holes in the base plate. 
That's where this replacement base plate comes in … just swap the plates and you've got a nice cheap mic with a clean look that goes well with any USB-C phone even when in a case.
