Hộp đựng kiêm bàn cờ Harry Potter Wizard Chess

I wanted to print this chess set for my nephew and wanted a box that invoked that magical whimsy of the HP franchise, so I made it as a book that opened to reveal the chess inside.

List of materials:

64-6x3 Magnets
24-5x3 Magnets
36-8x1 Magnets
36-M3 Hex nuts
4-M3x10mm screws
Some leader stripes and 1 brass buckle

I ended up using a lot of magnets I had lying around from other projects; if you want, feel free to resize the inserts to fit your needs.

Since the book is too big to fit most 3D printer beds, I split the model into a lot of parts and made "junctions" to cover most of them.

For the left cover junction, I split it into 2 parts so you can print it facing down the bed for better texture. Also I used the crest model from Martin P.  (@Drakkheen_677331), resized to fit into the cover, both versions (with and without the crest insert) are available in the files.

The book buckles serve to cover the split, and also, if you want to make a little leader belt for the book, I recommend making the belt before gluing the part since the gap is very small.

The board is magnetic, but if you put magnets in all the board tiles it will repel itself when closed. I used magnets in the white tiles and M3 nuts in the black ones, that way the pieces still fixes in the board and the board pulls itself closed.

Also, the drawers have inserts for magnets, both for keeping the pieces in place when carrying and to hold the pawn shelf in place. The pawn shelf is removable to make it easier to remove the other pieces in the lower shelf.

PS: The box ended up too big to fit a bag, so I made a leader carrier for it. Feel free to make the same or come up with your own solution.
