Description
This design is parameterized, so it can be scaled without changing the clearance of the different parts. Currently, this must be done in Autodesk Fusion (or another program that can read and edit .f3d), but an OpenSCAD version will be coming soon.
In order to change the drawer dimensions to your desired size, open the .f3d file in Fusion, to go Modify → User Parameters. Important parameters are:
cubby_size: length of the cubby's edge. Default is 37.5mm.
cubby_wall_thickness: thickness of the cubby wall. Default is 7mm. Make sure it's not thinner than the dovetail's height.
drawer_length: how long the usable space inside the drawer is. (Default 100mm)
drawer_clearance: clearance between the drawer and the cubby. Default is .3mm. You can adjust it to .25 or even .2mm to give a tighter fit with less freely moving drawers.
drawer_wall_thickness: thickness of the drawer body. Default is 2mm.
drawer_pullhole_diameter: how big a hole is bored into the drawer to allow you to pull it out. Default is 25mm.
Dovetail parameters: these defaults have been well tested using a .4mm extruder. If you're using a larger nozzle and the fit is too tight, you may need to raise the clearance to .20mm and/or increase the angle to 20 degrees.
