Description
Tired of fumbling with two cables every time you sit down at your desk? I built a 3D-printable cable dock that holds your HDMI and USB-C plugs in a single block, spaced to match your MacBook Pro's right-side ports. Slide your laptop in, both connections made, done.
It's a two-piece clamshell that bolts together with M3 screws around your cables. The plug cavities have grip nubs and side ribs so the connectors don't rock or wiggle, and sawtooth ridges in the cable channels keep everything from pulling loose. Screw heads and nuts sit flush so there's nothing to snag.
The whole thing is parametric in OpenSCAD. Measure your port spacing and cable diameters with calipers, punch the numbers into the customizer, and export STLs sized exactly for your setup. I designed it for the MacBook Pro 14"/16" but the geometry is generic enough to work with any two adjacent ports if you adjust the dimensions.
