Description
A really easy to print toy guitar that uses rubber bands as the strings.
Assembly
-
Option 1 (Screws): Use 6 M3x12mm screws. This is what I did.
-
Option 2 (Glue): Not tested myself, but glue should be a perfectly good way to assemble.
Notes for glue assembly
The inner diameters for the screws are 3.2mm and cylinders could be printed as line up pins when gluing. Probably 3x12 mm
Other Assembly Notes
The exterior holes on the back of the body are designed at 6.5 mm. If wanted, cylinders could easily be printed to hide the screw heads. Probably 6.1 or 6.2 mm.
To feed the rubber bands through the holes, cut a long angle at the end of the rubber band. A bent paperclip can be used to feed a stubborn band through. Tie a knot at the end of the band to keep it from slipping through.
Safety Note
The tuner screws have small threads, a drop of glue could be applied before screwing them in to keep the small parts attached for younger kids.
Print Options I used
-
Wall Print Order: Inner/Outer
-
Alternate Extra Wall: Enabled
These print settings were chosen to improve the bottom fillets on the neck. All other parts should be able to be printed as default settings.
