WhistleSpin is a compact spinning toy that combines smooth rotation with a satisfying whistle sound. Simply insert the ripcord into the launcher, pull it quickly, and watch the spinner launch into a fast, stable spin while producing whistling effect. Features a simple press-fit assembly with no screws or glue required. Its ergonomic launcher provides a comfortable grip, making it fun for both kids and adults.

Assembly:

1. Press the pin into the spinner body.

2. Press the drive gear onto the axle.

3. Insert the ripcord into the launcher.

4. Place the launcher onto the gear, pull the ripcord, and enjoy the spin.

Parts needed:

• 1 × Launcher

• 1 × Ripcord

• 1 × Spinner

• 1 × Pin

• 1 × Drive Gear

Recommended Age: 8+ (contains small parts)

Print settings:

• Nozzle size: 0.4 mm or smaller (a smaller nozzle can produce a sharper whistle edge and a louder sound)

• Layer height: 0.2 mm

• Walls/perimeters: 2-4

• Infill: 80% (15–30% for the launcher)

• I recommend printing the gear and the ripcord in PETG. PLA is too brittle for these parts and may crack or break during use.

• Do not add supports inside the spinner, as they can block the airflow and prevent the whistle from working properly.

• Supports are required for the launcher (Support Overhang Angle 60°). Make sure you've removed all the supports after printing.

Important for the whistle effect:

The whistle performance depends on the sharpness of the edge inside the whistle opening.                        For the best results:

• Use a nozzle size of 0.4 mm or smaller

• Avoid over-extrusion, as it can make the edge rounded

• Make sure the whistle opening is clean and free of stringing or blobs

If the spinning top spins well but does not whistle, try gently sharpening the whistle edge with a small file or fine sandpaper.
