I built a germination station and needed an ebb and flow spout for the seedling tray to keep them in nutrient solution. The spout mounts with a ½" hole with a little silicon to seal it.  In this case with the small fountain pump I have, I run the pump for 10 seconds to fill the tray and then the nutrient will start to drain back down throught the pump (adjust for your pump).

I have the pump on an interval timer.  In my case I run the pump for 10 seconds every 8 hours.  This keeps my seedlings fed and hydrated at all times. The images show some of my seedings in rock wool in my ebb and flow germination station.

Print the spout cage side down, I didn't need any support.
