Description

Print your own Tiny Whoop Gates! I hope this serves you well and feel free to give me any feedback or ideas for improvements. Have fun!

Main loop

This split into several parts (e.g. 4 or 6). These are just stuck together and hold well. Just keep in mind that this is designed without tolerance so the print should be cleaned if necessary. A bit of resitance is okay, but the end of the female parts should not bend away. You can test the fit with the attached test-print that looks like this:

Base

The base comes in two basic versions and one magnet-compatible remix.

  • The basic versions are optimized for 23x23 cm or 20x20 cm build plates.
The loop is pressed into the base and will stay in its place (no tolerance!), so make sure to clean the surfaces between the parts.

  • For the magnet-compatible version, just use the tiniest bit of glue (e.g. E6000) to hold three 12x3 mm magnets in the cutouts. They are a tight fit and too much thick glue will prevent the magnet from being able to drop in low enough given the tight tolerance not being able to displace the glue.

  • In general: you can add holes for magnets to a model in the slicer (e.g. PrusaSlicer), by adding a negative volume. Choose cylinder and adjust the dimension to be slightly larger than the actual magnet. Move the cylinder to the desired position, at best on the side facing the print plate.

Parametric adjustments

You can adjust parameters in Fusion360:

  • Dimensions of the loop

  • Height/Length of the base

  • Number of parts in which the loop is split

  • Length of the loop connection
