Description

This is a cosmetic redesign of the CH1 design that hits pretty much an identical frequency response. For more details, view the CH1 model page from my profile.

The size of the cups was intentionally scaled so that they would fit the wonderful Capra Audio headband and Satyr3 yokes and a wide range of other third-party headbands.
I have also modelled my own yokes to fit these cups and the capra headband.

BOM:
Drivers - Peerless 50mm
Pads -
Recommended -   SoulWit Protein leather fenestrated
Alternative -           Aliexpress "OME" On My Ear Fenestrated "punching"
                                     Brainwavz XL
Cable Connectors - PJ392 3.5mm
Screws - M3 FHCS 8 and 10mm, 6mm m3 pan head
Threaded Inserts - M3 Heat Set
Tuning Material - 1.5mm(1-2mm) 30% wool blend felt
Adhesive - 3M 468MP Adhesive Transfer Tape or alternative

Instructions:
- The blocked-out portion of the driver's grill is to be towards the front.
- Felt Tuning
   - Option 1
               - No felt in the ear cups, provides the most neutral response as shown in the provided                                          measurement.
   - Option 2
               - Cut the 1.5mm felt to fit inside the ear pads. This slightly rolls off the frequencies from the                               upper mids and boosts bass by a couple of dB, but slightly reduces clarity.
   - Option 3 (Recommended)
                - Use the earpad plate labelled as "Felt covered". As shown below, cut the felt to fit the plate                               and adhere it using double-sided tape or some other adhesive. I use 3M 468MP Adhesive                                Transfer Tape.
This provides around a 5dB sub-bass boost with no loss in clarity and some minor treble                                 changes due to I assume fewer reflections.
