Description

If your electronics project does contain large capacitors, they might have uninsulated terminals that are easy to touch accidentally while working in the electronics cabinet. This cap gives the terminals some protection that is not as unsightly or as annoying as a messy tangle of tape and shrink tubing.

It fits capacitors such as this one:
https://www.tme.eu/se/en/details/gt2a229m51100sb/screw-terminal-and-others-el-capacitors/samwha/

They click into the recess near the top of the capacitor, and there is a track to add zip ties if you want to secure it even better.
Each terminal has space for 3 wire directions exiting.

On top, I added a space for a "ZN-30" voltmeter, which measures voltages from 4V up to 100V and powers its LED display of the measured voltage. This means it doesn't need any external power source, but can be connected directly to the screw terminals of the capacitor.
It is available from many sellers, but I ordered it on Swedish Amazon:
https://www.amazon.se/dp/B0C6D3PYMN

The mount is a 30mm mounting hole with a 1.5mm thick edge, and there is about 20mm of free space in the back. It will fit other voltmeters with similar dimensions.

This model is designed to be printed flat on its top, with no supports (the middle layer is easily bridged)
This does make the arms less durable towards flexing than the original, which was designed to print at an angle, but as long as you use a material with good layer adhesion and a decent amount of flex, it is strong enough.

I designed this part to go in the control cabinet for the CNC router at Stockholm Makerspace
