Description

An Easy Quick-Remove Mount for the MMU3

I needed the MMU3 to mount on my Core One + a little more forward than the current offerings, while leaving the lid free to open and close.

This borrows from the legs from this mod, but extends them to be slid into the mounts:

For the MMU3 PTFE tube, I'm using this mod:

Printing Instructions

PETG, PC, ASA, etc. is recommended, anything but PLA. Print in whatever orientation you want, but I recommend you print the mounts upright as in the STL with at least 4 perimeters for strength.

The Holders should be sufficiently dense as well, at least in the ends that stick out.

Assembly

Each mount uses a M3 nut, nylon locknut preferred, to be screwed to the back angled panel with an M3x10mm screw at the given holes. The hook side goes up, to help align the piece.

With the holders screwed on to the MMU3, the bayonets can be slid into the mounts easily. So far the unit has been fully supported without issues!

Not forward enough?

There's a longer mount that adds 12mm, and the cable can reach past that no problem. This can easily be modded further if needed.
