Description
Customisable wind tunnel for both personal curiosity and basic testing. Prints well on BambuLabs A1 and majority of parts on Ender 3 V3 SE. This was originally designed for my team, Brigidine Racing, for our STEM Racing/F1 in Schools project.
You will need to print one of each of the parts, apart from the following:
-
Bottom Support (2x)
-
Front Filter Holder (2x)
-
Main to Settling Connector (x6)
To print the filters in Bambu Studio, set top and bottom layers to 0, and select infill density (less than 20% is ideal), and select an open infill, like honeycomb or grid.
You will need to create windows for the main chamber. We lasercut clear acrylic for ours.
With the front of the wind tunnel, if you would like more filters to condition airflow even further, just use more front-outer filters and the filter holders.
Parts are optimised for printing on BambuLabs A1 without supports
Rear connector is likely to need a design to fit your fan, a 200mm kitchen extraction fan will serve as an excellent base. In our original project, we used a 2500rpm centrifugal fan, similar to this one - https://www.ato.com/85w-centrifugal-fan?srsltid=AfmBOorwLwY-yxN3dfHzFt_CekCBxyDl6rEHDxjrUFQZEuNxH9F6Vhgz
