This is a simple lithophane calibration square designed to help dial in optimal wall thickness and light transmission for your printer, filament, and light source.

The model transitions smoothly from 0.16 mm to 2.08 mm in 0.08 mm increments, making it easy to see exactly how thickness affects brightness, contrast, and detail when backlit.

Why use this tester?

Printing notes

• 0.16mm first layer thickness, 0.08mm layer height

• Print flat for best accuracy

• Use 100% infill

• No supports required

• Works with standard 0.4 mm nozzles

• PLA recommended (but other filaments can be tested too)

Backlight the finished print with an LED or light panel and note which thickness range produces the best balance of brightness and detail for your setup.
