Description

Dlocks are expensive , I dont like existing wheelchair brakes , so have d'locks , however they have broken many spokes over time and broken my spingery wheels , so I have printed the hub bracket the that spreads the loads across the wheel hub and spoke's ,

I have two type of hubs so far, for batec off road wheels and Off road wheels purchased via Aliexpress

you will need M3 bolts & Nuts to be inserted after print 40/45 mm long and 2 two short as clashes with 2x M6 Bolts, I have learnt its better to have nuts inserted rather than threading the plastic make's much easier to swap out or replace damaged rings and leave hub in place

by clamping the ring it will move under great strain reducing breaking spoke's or damaging the the wheel/hub

This is evoling using orginal mounting things would break, so I decide just to get something working, Used TPU Rings which is extremely strong but flexes alot and being clamped to my hub it would move when under great stress and not break the hub or bend M3 bolts etc

The hubs are helping a lot so far no broken spokens , wit the clamp version will move under greater stress

However I have now have printed a ring fused , and expermenting with PA6 Nylon and PC, I will update which one breaks first

I have upload what I have so far , as depending on your type of wheels you can try different , I think if you have very exspensive spinergy wheels, then I would do the clamp only so the ring moves under great stress and dont reck your wheels as this happened to me with the oringal D'Locks

if you use my models please make comment or message me, enjoy and hope it helps someone

if any one has a FibreSeeker 3 then I would love for someone to print and send set of rings and hubs

Printer Settings

rings printed 60% infill cubic with 10 walls on the rings

Hubs I used PETG with only defaults 20 infill 2 walls and have been fine so far , I was expecting to upgrade these setting but no needed so far

Update Feb 2026

The broken ring after 7 days in the picture is printed with PC

The PA6 nylon still going strong
