Description
I have sometimes the problem that the doors of the Original Prusa Enclosure start to vibrate at certain printer speeds. That causes the plexiglas to hit the metal frame and cause noise.
I created these TPU parts to be clipped onto the plexiglas edge between the hinges. When the door is closed they cause a bit of pressure on the door which prevents rattling.
For now I only pushed them onto the plexiglas, maybe I'll add some very small amounts of glue to the edge to fix them permanently to the door.
Another version, which attaches to the steel edges of the enclosure and go around the complete door can be found here. However that is a lot harder to print correctly.
You need:
- 4x SealLong.stl
- 2x SealCenterV2.stl
Printing:
- Layer Height: 0.1mm
- Nozzle: 0.4mm
- The small flanges (0.78mm width) on the seal sides are optimized for two perimeters at 0.4mm nozzle and 0.1mm layer height.
- Seam Position: Nearest
- Supports: No
- Filament: TPU/Flex, I used “Das Filament - TPU V2” (94A)
- Print Orientation: The closed spine of the parts on the print bed
- Smooth PEI sheet with glue stick, otherwise TPU sticks too firm to it.
