This is my take on the Westar 35 pistol as used by Bokatan. I created my own model so I can make allowance for electronics switches and lighting…..this is a work in progress so I'll add stls and pics as I progress.

1. Silver Base, triggers and handles - I made allowance for 6mm springs and I'm using dip switches for the main trigger and added a safety palm trigger as well.
2. I used a liquid chrome pen for the silver finish
3. I printed the handle (wood grip) with wood filament. The finish was too light for my liking so I used some dark brown paint to darken it.
4. All remaining stls now added so you can print a full pistol
5. The main top makes allwance for 3 AA batteries and a spacer. You can use 4 rechargables instead and a smaller spacer BUT DO NOT USE 4 x REGULAR AA Batteries,

Electronics:

1. Trinket MO - (used to manage switching logic, control light effects and switch the soundboard),
2. 2 x Micro switches - SPDT 250V 3A Miniature Micro Switch with Lever,
3. Adafruit Audio FX Mini Sound Board - 2MB flash is more than enough and save audio files as wav. (save WAV files directly to the soundboard labeled T06 for the palm trigger and T07 for the main trigger)
4. Mini Metal Speaker - there are a variety of products but the specs must be - SPEAKER 8OHM 500MW TOP PORT 85DB (28mm diameter)
5. Class D Audio Amplifier - it only drives a single speaker and adjust the pot to max volume
6. Neopixel strip (5 pixels)
7. NeoPixel Mini Button - Single pixel facing forward
8. -ve battery terminal - at the back of the top main piece (i use the spring terminal)
9. Small piece of circuit board - 2 columns x 6 rows ( to connect the +ve and -ve power leads to)
10. Copper Foil Tape - i run this along the length of the battery spacer to connect the -ve terminal to the -ve terminal of the battery.

Note - if you're not fussed about light effects, you can get rid of the microcontroller and neopixels. Just connect the switches directly to the sound card.

The audio will continue to loop though if you keep the triggers pressed.

You can also combine the amp and sound fx card into one board - You'll need to modify the electronics housing to accommodate this though.
