Magnetic Drill Chuck Key Holder

I wanted to have a way to store the drill chuck key on my drill press conveniently. Using magnets seemed like the most straightforward approach, as it would mean I could avoid needing to drill into the upper casting.

This design uses a single M4 screw and nut, along with a powerful magnet with a countersunk hole. Then you slap that to the side of your drill press, and bingo, your chuck key has a home.

I also added a triangular hole if you wish to tie a cable or string to the chuck key to prevent you from taking it away from the drill press, setting it down, and immediately forgetting where you left it.

Tips

1. Slice for your own needs for best results.
2. Magnet diameter is 25mm.
3. M4 Screw length was 10mm.
