With a mixed family of iPads, new and old Fire Tablets, the young grandchild had a tough time finding the correct charging cable. The answer is colored nametags that attach to the cables. $21 online? I would rather model one myself.
Designed for 3mm cable diameter. Depending on your printer tolerance, you may need to adjust this slightly with XY Size compensation. It should not take much.
The two halves are held together with four M2x4mm screws.
I did my original text in SolidWorks, it can also be done in eSlicer. I included a sample .3mf. Use advanced editing to change the character gap.
Printed with 0.2mm height, you might need a brim for adhesion, although I did not. Ironing adds a nice finish to the top.
