When I upgraded my MK3 I went with the “Big Einsy Case” to contain the Einsy and all the wiring. This box gets in the way of the Einsy cooling duct [Printer-Box] designed for their enclosure so I simply took a saw and cut the printed part down.

This did not spark joy.

So I redesigned theirs to be 55mm tall which clears the Einsy case I'm using. Along the way, I made some additional adjustments.

1. Swept the profile to create a smooth transition for airflow.
2. Increased the depth of the fan mount to accommodate the Noctua 40mm fans (12mm deep).
3. Designed a grill for the bottom side of the case to prevent your fingers from meeting the fan on accident.

Use

1. This installs exactly the same as the original cooling duct.
2. Uses the same fasteners.*
3. There are four options for the lower grills.
   1. Don't use them at all.
   2. Use a single grill.
   3. Double them up to create a cross-hatch pattern.
   4. Double them up and insert a bit of mesh in the intentional recess created.
4. * unless you add the grills then you might need longer fasteners to reach.

Tips

• Sliced files for site metrics only. Do you own slicing for best results.
• Use or do not use the cooling duct; there is no try.
