I was frustrated by the design of my most recent shampoo bottle purchase, as the pump dispenser spring rate was difficult to control and resulted in far too much shampoo output.

This simple clip is installed on the piston shaft of the pump dispenser, and will stop the pump from being fully depressed, resulting in less shampoo being released – without having to carefully control the force of your hand. It was $0.02 worth of material, but it should extend the life of a shampoo bottle by roughly 30-40%.

I designed it to be parametric in Fusion 360, so you can adjust to your own bottle/desired shampoo output.
