Omni wheel-pinch wheel extruder
Một máy đùn bánh xe (wades) sử dụng omniwheels nhỏ bé để tạo điều kiện áp dụng lực đẩy vào dây tóc xoay.
Mô tả
I combined the smuff filament chopper with a omni wheel-wades type extruder of my own design that is meant to mount onto a XING 2814 BLDC drone motor. this is a device originally designed and tested for the Rotoforge project.
Rotoforge is intended as an open source DIY 3D printer for metals, plastics and ceramics on the home desktop at low cost.
This device is intended to feed a chopped (by the smuff chopper) segment of metal/plastic/ceramic wire through the hollow shaft of the motor into a rotating die (driven by the XING 2814 drone motor) to perform additive friction stir deposition on a build plate.
It only sort of works… there are definitely some serious improvements to make on design to make it functional.
The omni pinch wheels are of my own design but are very similar to and based on the design here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:792347 Keyrings are a great way to make easy to print scaleable omniwheels. Though they have some inconsistencies when high loads are applied.
Ultimately I ended up using (and providing in the files below) a PEEK flat slide bearing for the omniwheel to hold the wire against instead of using a dual wheel drive system. Tolerance two omniwheels under load is very difficult.
The flat PEEK slider works quite well for low rotary/linear speeds.
