I found the original design to be great, but was never a big fan of clips around the edges as I found it difficult to quickly remove the adapter to use on other spools. In this remixed model I removed the clips around the edges which allows for easier removal and modified the center ring which should now press fit into the cardboard spool similar to the smaller extrusion. I found that the adapter applied enough friction on the edges of the cardboard spool to keep the adapter in place.
