MTG counter and ability markers template

“Look, ma: no stl!”

I really liked Tony Youngblood's Magic: The Gathering Counters. But I wanted to make a couple new ones using the updated symbols from MTG Arena. I was looking for an svg of the new symbols when I stumbled upon “Mana”, a card symbol font made by Andrew Gioia. I was trying to use it in FreeCAD and having problems when I realized the new eSlicer alpha had text embossing support and I realized I could create the whole token with a solid and the text.

This is really convenient! Do you want thicker counters? Bam! Do you want them bigger? Bam! You can literally change them to your hearts content and then slice them directly without exporting STLs.

I've generated a few in the file. You just have to turn them on or off, and then change the instances of each one you want. You can easily create others by changing the text. For that head over to Andrew's page and get the font installed. Afterwards, you can use his cheatsheet to copy the character you want. The font has mana, ability, and other counter symbols.

I've also tested ironing, and on these it doesn't add too much extra time and leaves a beautiful finish. You can edit the printing settings for your needs.
