This handle is designed to use the included combination stainless steel tamper + spoon. I found it very uncomfortable to use and the spoon part snapped off after a few dozen espresso shots.

cut the existing metal tamper approx: 1 ¾" up from the top of the tamping head then put the handle on. use glue/epoxy inside the handle if you want to permanently fix it into place
