UPDATE: I purchased a Creality Lizard 3D scanner and used it to scan the handle of my Hurrycane. I used that scan to make another pad that fits perfectly, doesn't come off easily, and is, essentially, the same look as the original. I even left the logo. I also left a couple of scars that are on my original handle; the scan is a very complicated mesh, and every time I try to edit it a bit I have to chase down manifold and non-flat face issues.
I also flattened the back end to make it easier to print. I found for this design, after several prints, 7% gyroid infill felt better.
Unfortunately I have become more and more dependent on my cane. I found the handle to be quite hard when standing and leaning on it and I didn't want to have to wear gel palm gloves all the time. So I designed this pad and printed it from 95A TPU. It took a few iterations to find the right amount of infill for me. I settled on 5% Gyroid (eSlicer) with two walls.
I made this design in Blender. This is my first attempt at modeling something this complex, and the stl file turned out to be huge. I designed it to print as shown in the pictures, with 0.28mm layer height. I didn't get the fit exactly right, but I find the small void at the thin section actually adds to the padding.
