If pushing the button to open your microwave oven no longer works, this part is likely the culprit. Ours broke and I wasn't able to get a replacement part in a timely manner, so I modeled this part up to get our oven back online quickly.

I would suggest printing in PETG or ABS (I used ABS for its heat and chemical resistance). I used 0.20 layers, 40% cubic infill, and tree supports in Bambu Studio.

Not required, but the button slides up the front of this part and you can “feel” the layer lines. I suggest a quick pass with a file or sandpaper where the button contacts this part to smooth out the interface.

Microwave ovens can shock you, even when unplugged (big capacitor!), so please be careful when opening yours up, use at your own risk, all that legal stuff.

Update: I added a skeletonized version that will print faster, use less material, and require less supports. Look for the “-skel” version.
