On split keyboards with MX key switches and rotary encoders, the knobs can often be lower than is comfortable. This print adds 13mm of height to the rotary encoder. (Only works with D-shaft encoder, not the star shaped shaft).

The side that the encoder shaft inserts into is rotated 90 degrees from the shaft that goes into the knob. This was done to allow for printing without supports, and printing on it's side which makes for stronger layers. This orientation makes it less than-intuitive when inserting the shaft, so I've included some pictures with the D-shaft highlighted.

I've included the Fusion360 file if you want to tweak this. I optimized for ease of print rather than aesthetics. If you do remix -please share your remixes!

It's worth noting, knob extenders are cheap and readily available if you want to purchase them instead of print. On sites like Aliexpress, the search phrase “encoder extender” or “knob extender” usually yields good results.
