Stackable filament storage

A design for a tight sealing filament case, capable of being stacked is provided.

The bottom container neatly fits a 1kg spool of 200mm dia x 65mm. The lid screws down onto a soft TPU gasket to provide a tight seal.

This design is intended for storage of the more water sensitive materials such as nylon that, in my case, are not used frequently. I doubt the effort and expense of this container is warranted for basic materials that are consumed quickly.

An extension piece that allows additional spools to be stored is included although I tend not to use this much. I prefer dedicated single containers.

PLA is slightly permeable to humidity in the air. A few silica gel bags can be stored inside the spool to keep this under control.
