This is a remix of orax's great remix of the Multipart Pinecil Case. I printed his model and loved it immediately, but noticed that the clips didn't hold it closed. I didn't like the rugged version of the case I found here by other designers, so I thought I would give it a try.

The closing mechanism is based on the one found on my old TS100 case, that has withheld many a battle.

This version also has thicker covers; a bit more plastic, but it feels more solid. The lip and groove also help for the shells to align better and it has an all-together more solid feel.

IMPORTANT: I've reduced the tolerances for the inserts! If your printer is not very dimensionally accurate, you will probably have issues inserting them in the covers. With orax's covers the inserts were tight, but it was easier to pull them out. With this remix the inserts are pretty forced into the covers, so I haven't needed any glue.

These are the same height than orax's covers, as I liked the insert for the 4 spare tips. Other inserts will lie a bit deep in the cover.

Get inserts from his model; I've only uploaded the covers.

Printing should be pretty standard. I used a 0.2 layer height and they came out perfectly.
