Li-ion Christmas light conversion
Conversion from 3xAA-box to rechargeable li-ion
Originally the Christmas lights were on 3xAA batteries, I made this box on li-ion (1s2p) which have a larger capacity. But mainly they are powered by "recycled" li-ion cells.
After repairing e-scooter batteries, there are sometimes cells left that are still usable. The cells are no longer suitable for electric scooters or cordless drills, but they are still OK for use where the current consumption is lower. A Christmas light or similar use is a great way to "recycle" these cells and not create more unnecessary waste by buying more AA cells.
You only need the original electronics from the lights, a DC connector and 2x li-ion (1s2p).
