Mô tả

I found this attractively-designed bee on Thingiverse just after buying my first 3D printer. At the time, I only had white filament so I had to colour the coloured bits with Stabilo permanent markers! It came out pretty well but I wasn't sure how long it would last outside - would the colours fade or run? So now I've got other colours and learnt how to attack meshes in Fusion360, I split it up so the wings are printable as a separate body. The stripes are above the main body so this is easy to program as a single filament change (e. g. in eSlicer, add “experimental” script - Filament Change at the layer your slicer shows the stripes start). and then print the wings and glue them in place with epoxy or superglue. I used 5min epoxy so I had time to poke the wings around a bit till I was happy with the positions. - PLA+ or anything you've got really

  • Any speed you like
    1. 4mm layers is great
  • no support
  • no bring/skirt adhesion needed
  • I used red stripes for a more bumbly bee :o)
  • any infill, any reasonable walls/tops/bottoms

If you haven't done colour changes before, just watch a video or two on YouTube. Amazing that this model was uploaded to Thingiverse SEVEN YEARS AGO, hahaha, I dread to think what 3D printers cost back then. and how hard they must have been to set up and use, especially multifilament printing. If you like this design, tip the original designer on Thingiverse and/or visit :o)
