If you enjoy my designs you can help me by simply installing Temu and joining for free using my Temu Associate link: https://temu.to/m/u35zqoy1w8m

Not only can you buy 3D printer items and parts needed to make my designs, you also get a really nice discount. Temu ships pretty quickly, the prices are really low, and the quality is very good. The credits I earn from referrals help me buy filament and publish more free useful designs.

This is a simple but useful set of rod brackets that work with just about any type of wire metal shelf. I use these in the shop to hold shop-towels, my wife uses them in the laundry room, and my mother-in-law uses them with her jewelry craft hobby. They really have many uses.

All you need is standard 1/2 inch PVC pipe (approximately 21.5mm in diameter). If you want a short rod, like 2 feet or so, you just need to print the left and right ends. The center support bracket is if you want to make a very long rod that spans a 4 or 6 foot shelf. You can print as many support brackets as you need, placing one about every 2 feet. The brackets are extremely strong and only require about 12-15g of filament. I would estimate they could easily hold 50 pounds, but I haven't hung anything on them heavier than 30 or 40 pounds.

I print them with 5 walls and 20% infill. It is the wall count that makes them really strong. The PVC pipe fits in snugly, but you can glue it if you prefer although it is not necessary. Like all my designs so far, no supports are needed if printed on its side. The clips slide on to most standard metal shelving or closet wire-rack shelving.

Most people cut their PVC with a hacksaw, but if you like to use PVC for projects then I would recommend getting a PVC cutting tool. Unlike a hacksaw, the cutter slices through PVC up to 2 inches or so like a hot knife through butter! And... with a perfectly clean and straight edge and no PVC shavings.
