I always wanted to have LAN based control of my garage door but it wasn't until myQ decided to shut down the support for Home Assistant, that I came across ratgdo. However, I couldn't wait for months to get the board for it and decided to use the available schematics to put together a ratgdo. All credits for the electronics research goes to the original creators!

This is a simple snap fit case to house the electronics for the ratgdo that I built and also has a cool ESPHome logo on it.

Things Needed

1. 1x Printed Case Top Part. You can choose a different color for the logo part in your slicer.
2. 1x Printed Case Bottom Part.
3. 1x 30-Pin ESP32 (or any supported board) (AliExpress).
4. 1x PCB 40mm X 60mm. I used a double sided standard PCP (Amazon US).
5. 2x M3x6 screws (for ESP32)
6. 2x M2.5x6 screws (for PCB)
7. Some resistance and MOSFETs as mentioned on rat-ratgdo.

How to Build

1. Follow the instructions on rat-ratgdo to solder the electronics together. I used two 2n7000 N-channel MOSFETs with this circuit schematic.
2. Print the included case files. I used 0.2mm layer height with a 0.4mm nozzle and 20% infill.
3. Arrange and screw things inside the case and attach the Micro USB cable to a power supply. Any USB power adapter will work fine.
4. Route the wires out of the hole in the case and connect it to the garage door opener. Follow instruction from ratgdo.
5. Close the case and use some double-sided tape to secure the case close to the garage door opener.
