Durable Drill Guide

I have one long leg and one short leg. As a result, I can't drill vertical hole or make a vertical cut using hand tools. In the past, the solution was to place a block of wood under my left foot. Now with a drill guide that fits in my DeWalt drill set, I can always drill straight holes with it.

The picture shows the DeWalt 21 piece titanium pilot point bit Set with yellow case, other DeWalt cases may vary.

To increase the durability of the drill guide, a bit of 20x20 steel angle cutoff can be added to the drill bit interface. With the harder wearing interface, you don't need to worry about the plastic wearing out and loosing it's angle.

Construction Notes:

I printed my drill guide in ABS, with 0.3 layer height. Then I glue the metal angle onto the guide.

I went with a stainless steel angle for even greater wear resistance. The one I used is a 20x20x16 stainless angle brace from eBay (https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2380057.m570.l1313&_nkw=20x20+steel+angle+brace&_sacat=0)
