I got tired of hearing a tiny jet-engine every 5 minutes, looked around but didn't find anything on this issue that actually worked and didn't require the complete removal of the top cover.

Here is a 2 part design, one is a 40mm blank to replace the fan, this will keep the air flow the same, while the other expands it to a 60mm fan.

Extra parts:

4x 25mm m3 to hold the 60mm fan

2x 12mm m3 to hold the blank to the adapter.

Any 60mm 12v fan will work, just make sure it has the right connector on the end.
