Mô tả

Replacement part for Infiniti "push pin clips." Because I was unfamiliar with these clips and did not know how to remove them, I tore up several when removing the under-hood cowl when replacing my battery.

So another chance to sketch something up! I used Fusion 360.

The original clips in my car were nylon. The current "official" part is something else, more brittle.

I recommend Nylon if you can do it. I printed my replacement parts with PETG. Consider them single or maybe two-use (as are the new "official" clips). There are two versions of the retainer part of the clip. One with slots for theoretically easier bending of the tabs, the other without slots. For nylon, definitely use the without slots. (PETG can be either. with solid tabs preferred.) I have printed them in black and white PETG (and one even looks gray due to changing filament). You can see the white (and gray) ones as installed in the included photo.

These are neat fasteners, also known as "Push Rivets." You can assemble the clip before installation, by pushing the pin in until the first "click," or you can inset the retainer into the hole first, then insert the pin and push down flush.

This retaining clip is sized for an 8mm hole, and can accommodate 5mm depth. The flange is 20mm.** Added a 16mm flange version for more flexibility with sizing/scaling.

The Infiniti part number for my vehicle was 01553-09321, now superseded by 01553-2DR9A. This is a common retaining clip in these vehicles and used in a number of locations.

Category: Parts Print Settings

Printer Brand: Prusa

Printer: i3 MK3

Resolution: .20

Infill: 100% rectilinear

Filament: Prusa PETG, Nylon Black Notes:

Recommend black nylon.

I used black (and white) PETG.

With Prusa's Slic3r PE, used .20 layer height, 3 perimeters, 100% rectilinear infill.

With PETG have printed these at both: a) 250°C with extrusion multiplier (flow rate) of 100% and 90°C heated bed, and b) 260°C with extrusion multiplier of 107% and 90°C heated bed. Have not determined a preference. Use your favorite settings.

A single clip (pin and retainer) prints up in 15 minutes.
