Hybrid Water Heater Exhaust Vent
Một lỗ thông hơi khí thải và lỗ thông hơi tường để vừa với máy nước nóng hybrid/nhiệt
Mô tả
So I got a 66 gal State (brand) hybrid water heater last year, which so far, so good. However with hybrid heaters, they ingest warmer air from the room and spit out cooled air since it just sucked all the warmth right out of it to heat your water (this boggles my mind).
That's great, unless your water heater is in a smaller room - then you're just recycling used air over and over and lowering the temperature in the room and making it less efficient. So if you want to route the cold air elsewhere…you need to make your own exhaust duct from metal ducting, buy one (I think they're a few hundred dollars), or print one.
So the two files are:
(1) An exhaust vent that fits the radius of a 66 gallon water heater (I don't know if this changes based on capacity) that vents to a 7.9" cylinder to clamp an 8" dryer duct/hose to.
(2) A vent to attach to the wall side that expels the air into an 8x11 opening. This has a ½" flange around the outsides to drill little screws through into the wall.
I printed these on my Kobra 2 Max…which may be one of the few printers big enough for this sucker. I can attest that this does work as designed. I was stupid an made mine 3/16" thick which was overkill and heavy..so the STL attached was sized to 1/8" thick instead.
I printed it cylinder side-down, and put a .2mm height ‘ring’ all the way around the base (added a cylinder part, and then a negative volume) to make sure that sucker stayed planted during printing; and just snipped it off with scissors after.
3 perimeters with a .4mm nozzle would be prudent.
