Samsung makes their stove knobs out of what feels like soft PP, not something tough and durable like ABS-GF. That means that this little metal spring that holds the knobs onto the stove causes the knob stem to crack. This part rectifies that: it holds the stem together so that it has nowhere to crack to.

If you catch the crack early (like I did) you can prevent it from progressing. Even if you don't catch it early, I expect this print will prevent it from cracking again if you glue it back together.

Designed for a stove with an 11.5mm OD knob shaft, but the FreeCAD sources are provided so you can adapt it to your own situation.

Printing

Print in ABS or fiber-reinforced ABS. Something that won't creep under pressure and heat. Do not use PLA.
