Description

Fan shroud for mounting a 140mm PC fan under office/gaming desk. Provides a nice breeze to keep your privates from being boiled by the excessive power output of modern PC hardware.

I have designed the shroud to fit through a ~32mm wide gap between the my desk's table surface and back-plate. But even without having a similar back-plate or gap, the fanned shape should nicely spread out the air.

I have simply stuck the shroud to the bottom of the desk with some strong double-sided tape. It has remained securely in place for over a month now.

I am powering and controlling the fan from my PC, by simply running a fan extender cable out the back of the case. Use something like https://getfancontrol.com/ to control the fan speed.

Printing

Layer height: 0.2, Adaptive layer height: 0.5

Avoid crossing curled overhangs: ON

Perimeter generator: Classic(so it prints internal perimeters on the sloped part first).

Brim: On, 5mm.

Printing time on Core One Balanced preset: 2h20m

Filament used: 100g

Assembly

Only realised afterwards that I could not actually get a screwdriver in to put in the bottom fan screws... DOH! But it is plenty secure with just the two top screws. I simply added a few small pads of double-sided tape between the fan and shroud at the bottom.
