Description

An experimental o-ring replacement model for Yes4All dumbbell handles to replace damaged OEM ones. The experiment is with TPU's unique "not really grippy" surface characteristics; the material should provide enough static friction to keep plates from spinning on the handle and the collar from getting loose, while also being low enough that overtightening doesn't require caveman mode of hitting the collars with the 1.25lb plate to loosen it, like what can happen with the original super soft rubber o-rings.

I suspect the threaded collars I got with my dumbbell set are generic ones that may be available elsewhere or from other budget brands.

I am interested to see how creep effects these parts. Printed with 15% gyroid infill and 2 perimeters. They're a tight fit and require some compression to seat in the collar correctly. A fully seated print will protrude from the end of the collar by about 1mm-2mm.

Demo prints are made out of Overture Electric Blue TPU (95A).
