Description
My RPI setup:
Raspberry Pi 5
Waveshare M.2/PoE Hat+ (https://www.waveshare.com/product/raspberry-pi/hats/interface-power/poe-m.2-hat-plus.htm)
Waveshare CAN Hat+ (https://www.waveshare.com/2-ch-can-hat-plus.htm)
Base:
NOTE!! For Raspberry Pi 5 only!!!
CAN Hat:
Retains the styling from the original design concept. This is a HAT explicitly for the Waveshare CAN hat linked above. Step file provided so can adjust to your needs. Note, the top hat bolts are recessed quite a bit since I only had some M3x30 screws. So this one bolts together with 4x M3x30 machine screws. STL and STEP files provided for easy remixes as needed.
General printing:
I used PLA and ASA to print. I used stock setting for the materials but did bump the minimum perimeter to 3. I used supports. The bottom was printed "right side up" so the bottom of the base was on the print plate. The top was printed upside down with supports. So the top surface was on the print plate. Caution, this will result in a long cylindrical support in each of the corner holes. These can be a challenge to remove, so up to you if you "paint" these supports out in your slicer, but you'll get a cleaner mating surface for the bolt head with the support (assuming you can clean all the support material out).
Note: photos are shown as printed in PLA with the mounting parts available from the original design.
