Description

I designed this for my son after seeing a ton of these on Amazon out of wood that looked shady and poorly made. My son loves playing with in when practicing sitting. I designed it so we could learn about shapes and stuff. Also make patterns on them for tactile purposes.

The spindle is made from ½ PVC conduit which I laying around. If someone asks, I can model it up for them. Its 6.25" long. 11/12/25 Added Axle

Print the Base, Base Cover, 2 Legs, 2 Sides and 2 cross-bars out of a neutral color. I picked Matte Skin

You should also print 4 of the “bearings”. These are spacers that keep the drum centered and also can have some olive oil applied to them to keep everything running smoothly. They reduce the surface area of where the sides rub with the legs.

The plates should be made from various colors to attract attention. If you want to keep it easy, just make them all plain and add velcro or whatever you want. Or print the ones with shapes and pattern. I bought a 4 pack of PLA with nice bight colors and used some grey for 2 of the other plates.

The base is designed so you can put some metal washers/nuts to add weight. As as much as you think you need. I made mine pretty heavy because my baby hulks everything.

I printed a few blocks to throw inside and bought some bells. But the thing is an echo chamber, so you wont need much for it to be loud.

Everything gets assembled with some #6 x ½ Flat Head wood screws…no glue required. I did this because I might want to change out the sides at some point. Or to take out the blocks/bells…which is a pain if you can't take it apart.

When you print all the files, the assembly is pretty easy to figure out. I designed it to be so.

Let me know if you have any questions. I'll be happy to answer any questions.

Hope thing brings as much joy to your family and baby.
