Central to the stand's functionality is the precision slot, exactly 2mm wide, designed to accommodate the plates snugly. This slot is strategically placed at the top center of the oval base, ensuring that the plates can be easily inserted or removed. 

The overall dimensions of the stand are carefully considered to ensure it is both practical and visually pleasing. The stand's height and the oval base's length and width are proportioned to offer the best support and visibility for the plates, regardless of their size within the collection.
