Description

This is the V2 of another model I created.  It breaks down or folds up to make it easier to carry or store in a cue case. I sacrificed some durability to make it happen so if you over tighten the clamp it will break. Additionally the “Grip Strip” and “Grip Base” are intended to be glued together after printing, there are centering points on the “Grip Base” to help with that.

fits a table top between 25mm and 65mm with some wiggle room.

I recommend 5 to 6 wall thickness and 20% - 30% infill on the “Screw” and “Tension Arms” to compensate for the durability. Other parts can print at your typical settings without major issues. I oversized the “Screw” again to make it more resilient to stress and compatible with almost any table top

the model is intended to be entirely PLA or PETG except the “Grip Strip” is intended to be TPU.

the “Tension Arms” pinch inward slightly (3 degrees) to help compatibility with “thinner” table tops and softer materials like folding plastic tables. One arm has threads, one are dose not, otherwise both are interchangeable. I recommend printing one threaded and one not, to make it easier to operate.

***Updated bolt added*** I uploadded a new bolt that can be printed in 3 parts and glued together. after frequent issues breaking at the same point of failure I developed the 3 part bolt intended to be Glued after printing. Im unaware of an easy way to print anything threaded with vertical layer lines. goves were added to help the parts bond with adhesive. depending on what kind of adhesive you choose the strength of this part can be improved dramatically. I used a 2 part epoxy.
