Description

This is a case for a Corne keyboard, including a cover for the microprocessor and window for the LED display. It has detachable feet, that can be made to any size to allow for any degree of angle or tenting.

I only like a very small degree of tilt myself, so the leg lengths in the photos are 0 and 1mm for the front feet and 3 and 5mm for the back (0mm under the thumb and 5mm under the micro-controller), but you can experiment with what works best for you.

I printed this with PLA, in two colours, with manual filament changes at 7mm for the case and 0.6 and 1.8mm for the cover.

You will need to add a small amount of paint-on supports for the overhang on the cover.

You will also need:

  • M2 x 4mm screws to attach the board to the base (like these)
  • M2 x 6mm screws to attach the cover to the standoffs
  • 10mm standoffs for the bottom of the micro-controller cover (like this)
  • Sheet of 1mm thick acrylic cut to 43x18mm for the windows (like this)
  • Some adhesive rubber feet (like this)

You will need to mirror the cover to print it for the left keyboard. Don't be tempted to mirror the back case because the threads for the feet will be the wrong way around!
